Apollo (1961-1975) is the space program which allowed the first human landing on Moon. Apollo program was launched by John F. KENNEDY the 25th of May 1961, it was both a scientist operation and about prestige. The space race opposing Soviets and Americans was a way for the two superpowers to compete with. This lunar exploration was the achievement of Apollo 11 mission, when Neil ARMSTRONG and Buzz ALDRIN succeeded in the first landing on Moon. Several mythical photos became symbolic of this contemporary odyssey.
